I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a freelance designer with over 25 years of experience in Marketing, Desktop Publishing and Graphic Design. I work with a range of clients from the chemical distribution industry to the construction and housing sector.
Working with my clients brings a varied requirement of creative and digital marketing skills. I help provide the tools to promote and communicate brands, provide internal and external comms and work with clients in event marketing and organisation both online and in person. I work closely with IT, HR and Sales teams where there has always been an opportunity to try out something new which has broadened my offering to my clients.
Prior to freelancing I worked in construction for Osborne, a contractor based in London and the South East as a Business Development Manager and within Marketing and Communications, producing bids and tender presentations using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft software as well as brand management and communications.
On sites I organised and providing creative briefs to photographers, organised events and designed promotional material along with internal digital marketing. I was part of the rebranding of the business and its business units and brand management that followed.
Whilst I was working for Osborne I worked with Nicola Dibb and soon became involved in Women In Social Housing (WISH) a networking community interest company where I have since been Marketing Manager for over 6 years. Nicola and I worked together in the early start of our freelancing career and I’ve helped her build up her marketing and website for her company Nicola Dibb Associates – NDA, along with working for her many housing and construction clients over the years.
After reading Sociology at Anglia Ruskin and moving to London I started my first role in Marketing for a construction client and later worked with Management Consultancies and their blue chip clients in Graphic Design departments where I learnt the world of graveyard shifts, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, Adobe and Quarkxpress and later Web Design.
I relocated to Exeter in 2016 and whilst supporting clients with their marketing and design needs I work on a flexible basis around my two daughters and my dog Lily.
